In Summer 2018, BYU is conducting a Peacebuilding & Conflict Resolution Study Abroad in Rwanda and Uganda.
With a focus on both interpersonal and international conflict resolution, students will spend the term learning about
peacebuilding efforts, and observe and assist with a range of conflict resolution efforts across Rwanda and Uganda.

While the primary focus of the study abroad is to learn, Brigham Young University also encourages students to "go forth to serve." As such, Professors Ben & Lora Cook have sought opportunities to serve those living in rural areas of both Rwanda and Uganda. The primary goal of the fundraiser is to contribute to the building of a well in Uganda that will impact hundreds of people by bringing clean water to many rural communities. The program's goal is to raise a total of $1,500; all donated funds will go towards this project, and towards various other development projects benefiting the local community.
There are three different ways people can participate. For those local to the Provo, UT area, we will be offering pizza slices in exchange for donations in the Wilkinson Center on April 11-13, and we'll be taking orders for a soup dinner that will be delivered on the evening of April 16th. If you wish to help but cannot participate in the previous two options, direct donations are always appreciated.
