Agnes is a beautiful young woman who lives on the bank of Lake Victoria. She is in the 7th grade. Her father has died and her mother is very sick with HIV/AIDS. She is a soft-spoken girl who is always expressing gratitude for the chance to receive an education! She lives with her sick mother and many siblings in a small mud and stick hut. She is responsible for fetching water at home, which can be several miles round trip. Agnes excels in science and hopes to become a nurse!
